Adaptation of the density of the filtration media to suit the filter cleaning system, with a basis weight ranging from 350 to 800 g/sq. m, to go from reverse flow shaker cleaning or low-pressure cleaning at 0.5 bar, to high-pressure jet cleaning at up to 6 bars.
Enhancement of the felt qualities using heat treatments (singeing, heat setting), or physical (calendering) or chemical treatments (impregnation, coating, embedding), to adapt it specifically to the characteristics of the dust to be filtered.
Combination in a given media of fibres of different finenesses, types and shapes, to optimize performance levels; e.g. PTFE combined with P84.
