TTL France history: Filter bag manufacturer

 

1989

The DOLLFUS & NOACK Company, based in Sausheim (Haut Rhin), decides to spin off its "Filtration / Bags" activity and submits the project to its German subsidiary, the TECHNISCHE TEXTILIEN LÖRRACH GmbH Company, which is specialized in manufacture and treatment of filtration media.


1990

The idea takes shape and on 19 December 1990, TTL France Sarl is set up under the aegis of the TTL LÖRRACH GmbH Company, the majority shareholder, and that of Philippe Kiechel, shareholder and manager, and until then "filtration" market manager with DOLLFUS & NOACK.


1991

Start of manufacturing activities for filter bags on the site in Illzach (Haut Rhin) with a team of 6 persons.

TTL France stays in touch with DOLLFUS & NOACK by acting as a sales agent for channel pockets as used on the primary aluminium market.


1997

The Managing Director of TTL LÖRRACH GmbH, Mr Manfred Jaehn, retires, and links are set up with the Scandinavian group NORDIFA, based in Halmstadt in Sweden, and listed on the Stockholm stock exchange.

TTL France, which now has a staff of 16, integrates the French subsidiary of NORDIFA and becomes a Joint Stock Company under the name of TTL NORDIFA France SA.


1998

To meet growth in its filtration activities, TTL NORDIFA France SA builds a new production factory in Sausheim (Haut Rhin), in the new Mulhouse Nord industrial park: the Espale industrial area.

1999

The year was an eventful one.

January: Move to the new premises.

February: Purchase of the "Channel pockets" activity from DOLLFUS & NOACK and integration of 8 pocket makers specialized in the activity.

September: The majority shareholder of the NORDIFA group decides to sell its shares.

December: The FRATELLI TESTORI Spa Group, based in Milan, buys out TTL NORDIFA France SA to consolidate its export activities. Mr Armando Testori, grandson of the group's founder, is appointed Chairman and Managing Director of TTL France SA.


2000

A second establishment is set up in Roanne, dedicated to Maintenance of filtration installations and the corresponding services, including installation of filtration bags and pockets.

TTL Maintenance is managed by Christian Gouttenoire, who previously worked for Filtre Genevet.


2001

Deployment in France of a sales network covering the whole country, and operating partly on a home office basis to provide local services.

This mission is carried out by salaried sales engineers.


2004

Investment in 2 new sewing and heat welding robots, one dedicated to bag manufacture, and the other to manufacture of Channel pockets.


2005

TTL France SA discreetly celebrates its fifteenth anniversary, and the FRATELLI TESTORI Spa Group celebrates its Centenary.


2006

Sales pass the 10 million Euro mark, thanks to growth in export activities.

TTL France now has a staff of 42.
