Single filament yarn is made up of a single continuous strand. The diameter of each strand conditions the final porosity and permeability of the cloth.
The main particularity of this type of yarn is that it is very smooth; this makes the cake very easy to remove and limits clogging phenomena. This type of yarn has low separating efficiency.
